COVID INFORMATION FOR RESHARERS

Getting started is easy. Either you lend or borrow, you just need to download ReShare app from App Store or Play Store.

If you want to list your item, simply go to Add new listing and add in information about your items.

If you want to borrow, you can send a request to the lender within the app and pick up the item when it has been accepted.

To keep our ReShare community safe, we ask that all users who want to borrow an item need to submit their IDs. This is to protect the items from theft.

If you are a lender, you need to be verified before you can receive payouts. We use Stripe to process the transaction.

In order to keep ReShare a safe place to lend and borrow, we ask users to submit personal information. Giving us this information is an act of trust which we don’t take lightly. 

That’s why the information you give us is transmitted using SSL, the secure encryption which websites use to transmit credit card numbers.

Listing an item is totally free and there is no limit to the number of items you can upload. The price you wish to list your item for and the frequency (eg. daily, weekly, monthly) you lend your item out is totally up to you. You are in control of your listing at all times.

The only money we charge is 15% of the total rental fee. For example, you list your sewing machine for $10/day, we take $1.50 and you will earn $8.50 which will be transferred into your nominated account.

Download and explore for great items to borrow on our platform at no cost. The only cost to borrow any item is a fixed $2 booking fee per transaction.

All borrowers on our platform have been screened and had their identity verified by our team. In addition, no user can borrow your item without us pre-authorising their credit card for the security deposit amount which you have specified. You are in control of everything about your listing including the rental price and the security deposit.

As an example; you have listed your tent on ReShare and have chosen a security deposit of $170. We will hold this money on your behalf until you confirm your tent has been returned in a good working condition. In the unlikely event there is some damage or theft caused by the borrowers, the security deposit will be used to cover the incident.

In addition, you choose who and when you lend your item to, so you are in control at all times.

Using ReShare is flexible for allowing users to remain socially distant and Covid safe. When choosing how to transfer your item to a Borrower, the ender has the option of choosing ‘Meet face to face’ or ‘Leave in a safe place’. The second option is the better option if possible to maintain socially distant. 

If you wish to meet face to face, then we would ask both the Lender and Borrower to wear a mask and thoroughly clean their item before passing it to the borrower.
